The Power in These Two Words: “I AM”

photo(296)

After I read Wayne Dyer’s book Wishes Fulfilled, I implemented this way of speaking into my own life.  I can tell you that this statement is an absolute truth as my life is a living testimony of the power in the words, I AM.

The intimacy in my spiritual awakening was the birthing of my true, authentic self, my divine being.  For me, with the spiritual awakening that I’ve embraced, the experience of spirituality is a feeling that comes over me of being loved unconditionally, and the love comes from a higher source.  It’s my infinite soul speaking to me, connecting to my source, which is God.

With the realization in the nobility of who “I am,” I know that living a harmonious life with my source will only attract more grandeur into my life, as this is what happens when you live aligned with God.

Bishop T.D. Jakes describes God as, “The God of the universe, the CEO of creation, the master of origination of life.”  Do you see the correlation between God and us?  This is huge!  Knowing that you have been created in God’s image, please see that you are a piece of that which you came from.  You have the “I am” presence in you.  “I am” is the name of God.

“We are all God- the God that is perfect love.  God did NOT say:  I will be, I hope to be…NO he said, “I am.”  To say “I am” is not blasphemy, it is your identity.”  -An excerpt from Wishes Fulfilled.  This completely altered the way I saw myself!  It was a miraculous wake up call for me.

It is so important to be aware of what follows these two words:  “I am,” because they symbolize our source, God.  Wayne Dyer also stated, “I am is:  sighting the name of God.  If you use I am in a derogatory manner you are desecrating the name of God, defacing the name of God.”  I agree 100%.

I say that I am well, I am strong, etcetera, because I am.  Today I think before I speak and ask myself if what I am about to say promotes my authentic self and if the answer is no, then I do not say it.

Adjoined with God, living in balance with your source, you do not want to say anything that does not promote your highest self.  Remember, you are the “I am” presence as God dwells in you.

If you aren’t already doing so, I would encourage you to begin thinking about the words that follow I am.  Please share with me how your life is molding and shaping as you breath life into the words you speak.  Living in harmony with source will bring about marvelous transformations into your life.

With much love,

Alice

Two Very Special Weeks

My daughter just left after a fun filled two week visit!  We began our holiday in Paris.  We spent several days shopping and we went to the Musee d’Orsay.  Took the train back to our little village and spent a couple of days touring around town.  We then took day trips to visit all around the Normandy region.  We had a GREAT time!  On one of our day trips we went to St. Malo and ate the most amazing seafood.  It was more than the three of us could finish, but we gave it everything we had.  I am truly blessed to have a daughter that I am honored to call my friend.

With much love,

Alice

It’s Your Turn

As you know, I post three times a week.  I share what is on my heart and what I’ve come to know with the intention that what you read will echo within your soul on your pilgrimage through life.  It has been my heartfelt desire to grow this blog site into a community where we share and encourage one another.

I love interacting with people and learning from others.  With that said, it’s your turn.  Yes, I am asking you to share with me topics that are of interest to you as you continue on your path of creating the life designed just for you.  I will write blog posts regarding these topics and then we can start conversations with the goal of bringing people into a talkfest.

For example, is there a special quote that resonates with you that you would like to share with us?  Tell us how you connect with the quote.  It’s very exciting to hear from you as each one of us has a story to share that will echo within another’s soul.  After all, we are a mirror image of one another.

I am looking forward to getting to know you better as we radiate love one to another.

Finding Your Passion and Purpose

photo(21)

The definition of passion is:  Strong and barely controllable emotion.

The definition of purpose is:  The reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.

We are all motivated by something.  What inspires you?  Is there something in particular you enjoy doing so much that you find yourself absorbed in it for several hours without realizing it?  That’s a really good starting point in finding your passion and your purpose.

I believe when you find one, you will find the other, because they go together.  Bishop T.D. Jakes said, “If you can’t figure out your purpose, figure out your passion.  For your passion will lead you right into your purpose.”

T.D. Jakes also said, “My purpose is to help you find yours.”  I share this with you because since I’ve plugged into my passion and purpose I feel the very same way.  I have a great desire to help in any way I can to guide people to unite with their passion and purpose in life.

My passion and my purpose is to share what I’ve come to know through my personal journey in finding inner peace and happiness.  The real deal!  It’s never too late to make small shifts in our lives that will create big changes.  I inform others how to do this, what techniques have worked for me so I know they will work for you.

I am the happiest I have ever been in my life.  Living in harmony with my source has led me to living my life with passion, purpose and genuine inner peace, which I believe we all search for.  I searched for a very long time before finding it.

With much love,

Alice

Fear or Faith: Which house do your thoughts reside in?

photo(252)

“Fear knocked at the door.  Faith answered.  And lo, no one was there.” ~Author Unknown

What a great quote!  The human brain produces approximately 70,000 thoughts on an average day.  That’s a lot of thoughts.  When a thought enters into your mind, if it’s a good one, then you may want to keep it and develop that thought.  If a thought enters into your mind that you do not want to keep, then simply replace it with one that is in harmony with your authentic self.

In reading Wayne Dyer’s book, “Wishes Fulfilled,” he gave an analogy regarding our thoughts, and when I read it, I learned how to choose the thoughts I wanted to keep and which thoughts I wanted to purge from my mind.  I received direction on how to do this with clearness I had never experienced before.

His analogy was to look at your thoughts as if they are on a conveyor belt just passing by.  When a thought enters into your mind, if it’s a good one, then you may want to keep it and develop that thought.  If a thought enters into your mind that you do not want to keep, then simply put it back and pick up another one.  I LOVE THAT!

When I began to implement this “conveyor belt” idea, when a random thought entered into my mind and I felt right away that it didn’t produce a positive vibration for me then I would say, “That’s not a thought I want to keep, I will put this one back and pick up another one… Yea, I like this one.”  Then I would place my intention and my focus on that thought.

I encourage you to try the “conveyor belt” approach to your thoughts.  This has been an excellent skill that I’ve developed which keeps me living in the house of faith.

With much love,

Alice

Tick Tock, Tick Tock

photo(241)

“There are 86,400 seconds in a day.  It’s up to you to decide what to do with them.”  ~Jim Valvano

When I read this quote I began to think about what I do every day with my 86,400 seconds other than sleeping at night.  I make a list of items I wish to accomplish each day, and I am flexible to make changes when necessary.  So I have a game plan for each day, but then I went deeper into this thought.  What do I contribute daily in giving back to others?

With my conviction that we are all connected and we are a mirror image of one another, this became the primary question:  How do I spend those 86,400 seconds making a difference in the lives of others?  Now that is a question to ponder!

Since moving to France last November, I am learning a new language so communicating with words is often not an easy task.  I am getting better; however there are a lot of words that must be added to my vocabulary before a conversation will take place, in French that is.  We are blessed to have a couple of friends here that speak English.  They tell us that we are helping them with their English, as they help us with French.  To us, they have been a godsend.

I take walks just about every day and every time I pass someone, I always speak to them.  In France, most people tend to just walk by without saying anything.  When I thought about this question whether or not I make a difference in the lives of others, it occurred to me that when I say, “bonjour” as I pass by, they reply back, “bonjour,” many times with a smile on their face.

Then I remembered another time when I was planting flowers in my small flower box on the front porch.  Two ladies walked by, I didn’t even look up because I heard them talking and thought they were talking to each other as they were passing by.  Only to find when I looked up that they had stopped to talk with me!  I smiled and asked them my favorite question, “Tu parles anglais?”  Translation: Do you speak English?  They shook their heads no and then a miraculous thing happened.  They began to use their hands and face to share what they wanted to tell me, and I did understand a couple of words they said.  They wanted to let me know how beautiful the flowers are and how much they like looking at them as they walk by each day.

As I write this post, I have tears in my eyes because I have been reminded that the “little” things we do in life are truly what makes a difference.

With much love,

Alice

“LOVE” Rocks

photo(242)

I took this picture when Gary and I visited the Pere Lachaise Cemetery in Paris.  A lot of famous people are buried here including one of my favorite writers, Oscar Wilde.

I looked down and there it was… a heart shaped rock embedded into the concrete.  I was drawn to what I saw because the first thing I thought was there is beauty in everything.  I was really thankful that I looked down when I did.  I was looking through my pictures the other day and came across it again.  This time when I saw this picture, I thought, “Love Rocks.”

Nothing feels better than feeling loved!  It’s great to share love with each other.  Love truly is everywhere.  Tony Robbins said, “Love is the oxygen of the soul.”  We give and receive love when we share a smile one to another.  It’s that simple to rock this world with love.

What will you do today to share your love with the world?  Let’s rock this world together with lots and lots of love.

With much love,

Alice

Life is Like a Camera

photo(229)

“Life is like a camera.  Just focus on what’s important and capture the good times, develop from the negatives and if things don’t work out, just take another shot.”

I came across this quote that’s from an unknown author and I believe it’s a magnificent analogy of how we can live a wonderful life, keeping life simple.  Don’t get hung up on the negatives that have taken place in your life, focus on the positives and never ever give up.

This powerful quote reiterates the value of continually living in a state of allowing and releasing, a key ingredient in maintaining a gentle ebb and flow that will keep your life simple.

Let’s stay focused on capturing the good times in our life, slowing down to enjoy them and as we learn from our life experiences, release the negatives allowing us to simply move forward as we focus on taking another shot.

With much love,

Alice
