Spring is a wonderful time of the year. The flowers begin to bloom, the grass starts to grow, the bees pollinate, and you get this feeling of hope, renewal, and joy in your heart. You clean the garage, plant flowers, clean out your closets. You jump into spring cleaning with a cheerful heart.
After finishing my spring cleaning over the weekend, I had a terrific sense of accomplishment, happiness and fullfilment. This got me thinking about spring cleaning from a different perspective.
We spend numerous hours working around the house and yet we tend to overlook taking valuable time to go inward and do spring cleaning from within. Now is the time to nourish your soul. What belief(s) no longer serves you? Take time to nurture your soul and release anything that may be keeping you from moving forward on your spiritual journey. Put your spiritual home in order as well.
With the same enthusiasm and excitement that you have for spring cleaning around your home, embrace the renewal of your spirit. Outwardly, your home looks great and you are prepared for a distinguished guest to visit. You’ve definitely put in the time to make your home look good.
Inwardly, your spirit, soul, God is the distinguished guest who resides within at all times. Absolutely everything begins here. It starts inwardly and manifests outwardly. Remember that the mighty ‘I Am’ is the very presence of God which beats your heart, whose life flows through your veins, whose energy flows through your mind.
This is the most imporant renewal of all. Take all the time you need to get your spiritual home in order. Uproot what no longer serves your highest good, plant the seeds that you want to cultivate. Nurture them and you will harvest to fruition what you’ve taken the time to focus on.
This is why it is so important to control your thoughts and to center them on the things that bring joy to you. The things that make you feel good. How you feel is vital.
Happy Soulful Spring Cleaning.
With much love,
Alice
