“No matter what happens, keep your childish innocence. It’s the most important thing.” ~Federico Fellini
This past weekend I watched the movie, Under the Tuscan Sun. Two quotes from this movie really spoke to me. Both quotes were by Federico Fellini. The second quote will be in a post later this week.
As you grow older, it’s easy to loose your childish innocence. It will serve you very well if you can get back to the space of living with a childish innocence. In some of my previous posts I’ve talked about child-like faith.
As a child you really believe that you can have it all. You can be whatever you want to be when you grow up, nothing is in the way of your dream. I am convinced that life can be simple, and that you and I are the one’s who get in the way of the simplicity life offers. All you and I have to do is maintain our childish innocence, our childlike-faith.
One way to make this shift is by training yourself to go with the flow. Think of your life as a river flowing. If you will move in the direction of the flow, life will be a lot simpler for you than trying to struggle against the current of the flow.
Wayne Dyer speaks about singing the song, Row-Row-Row Your Boat with one of his daughters when she was very young. That nursery rhyme has a great truth in it.
Row Row Row your boat… Gently down the stream.
Merrily Merrily Merrily Merrily life is but a dream.
Living from the space of child-like faith FEELS good because you are in alignment with source energy. I honestly believe that you and I are here not to suffer, but to flourish in life, to find our way back to living with the innocence of a child, the true gift that is within all of us!
Child-like faith… Live your dream, stop getting in the way of it. Remember, how you feel effects everything in your life.
I encourage you to take time every day to meditate and to get centered from within. When you do this, you will find yourself moving in the direction of the flow. You will be happier, feel better, and find yourself smiling and enjoying the little things in life that you often overlook. Take time to stop and smell the flowers along the path of life.
May you preserve your childish innocence, learn to let go and never loose your child-like faith.
With much love,
Alice
