Self Talk

Certainly, this is one of the best quotes ever, because negative chatter does crop up.  It’s very important to remember that you are in control of the self talk that arises in your head.

There may be times when you tell those negative thoughts exactly what the words in this quote says, or you may choose a different way to address the chatter.  Personally, I have learned to address it as soon as it enters into my thoughts, and I say something like, “That is not true about myself, so I will not allow this to stay in my mind.  However, this is true of who I am, (and I state what is true.)”  What I am doing is replacing an old belief that’s been in my subconscious mind with a truth of the person I am.

You may find yourself addressing the same negative thought several times, as some of your beliefs are deeply rooted in your subconscious mind.  Just keep on releasing those thoughts that are not true about yourself, and continue to replace them with what is true of who you are.

A person cannot change something about themselves until they are aware of it.  Awareness is essential in making the shifts that release thoughts/ beliefs that are not true about you, and replacing them with the ones that are.  As this takes place, you feel your vibrational level elevate as you connect and stay plugged into who you are.  It feels good!  Always remember, YOU ARE ENOUGH!

I encourage you to be attentive to the negative self talk that does enter into your head, and to address it as soon as you can, so you can maintain calmness and peace throughout your day.

What I discovered is that when I didn’t address it right away, I was making the choice to allow the negative chatter to influence how I felt, which definitely lowered my vibrational level.  It didn’t feel good at all.  That’s when I decided to take care of those negative thoughts on the onset, and that has made all the difference.

What techniques do you use to cease the negative chatter in your head?  We learn from one another, so please share your thoughts with us.

With much love,

Alice

About I am Alice

If anyone would have asked me three years ago if I had ever considered writing books, I would have promptly answered, "No." Today, it is a very natural feeling to write. I suppose since I enjoy talking so much, and I mean a lot, it should not have surprised me! I love communicating through writing as I feel completely united with my soul and my thoughts flow, often times as well as tears as I am altogether emerged in that feeling, in that moment. Check out the "About Alice" page to find out why I titled this site, "I am Alice" and why, "It Feels Good To Be ME."

Hi Alice, This is an area that causes me the greatest reason to stay connected to blogs and teachings such as yours. I find that when something is extremely deep rooted I need to listen to audios, read positive messages, talk with a positive friend (preferably one who loves me unconditionally 🙂 ) etc. in order to turn my vibe forward to Positive!
