Directed by Your Choices

When I saw this tree I was immediately drawn towards it.  It’s very unique.  I couldn’t seem to take my eyes off it for a long time.  I stared at the trunk and  the many branches that hung so low and thought about life and how every choice we make moves us in the direction of that decision.

It’s an awesome metaphor of what our life looks like.  We are the base, the trunk of the tree, and with each choice, every decision we make we find ourselves branching out in the direction we have chosen.

This analogy is a magnificent reminder of the importance of continually being tuned into and mindful of the choices we make, whether it’s in thought or action as this is essential to maintaining a state of calmness, happiness, and peace.

With much love,

Alice

About I am Alice

If anyone would have asked me three years ago if I had ever considered writing books, I would have promptly answered, "No." Today, it is a very natural feeling to write. I suppose since I enjoy talking so much, and I mean a lot, it should not have surprised me! I love communicating through writing as I feel completely united with my soul and my thoughts flow, often times as well as tears as I am altogether emerged in that feeling, in that moment. Check out the "About Alice" page to find out why I titled this site, "I am Alice" and why, "It Feels Good To Be ME."

This is an amazing photo and your analogy … so true!

This morning, in my imagination, the three trunks resemble people. The one tree that is ‘bent’ seems to be assisted by the center tree. The tree on the right ‘which is standing tall’ appears to have arms and eyes.

There is so much going on in this photo! I can see why you are so drawn towards it. Alice, you captured the scene beautifully! Yes, it does seem to be a metaphor of what life looks like …
