Live Every Day to the Fullest

photo-891 “Life is lived in the living. Set aside convention, caution, and arbitrary “rules” about how life is supposed to be lived. Choose! Explore! Adventure! Live life to the fullest.” ~Jonathan Lockwood Huie

Over the last few weeks, I have been made very aware of just how short our journey here on earth is and how important it is to LIVE every day to the fullest.

My daughter’s father transitioned from his life on earth into his new life last month at the age of 53. His passing was a complete shock for everyone. Those of us left here have found a great comfort in knowing that his final day was spent doing what he loved, fishing in his boat at the coast, and falling asleep that evening at his cabin. His transition took place in his sleep and now we celebrate his new birthday.

I’ve spent the last several weeks with my daughter and that’s why I haven’t been active on my blog. I too am 53 years old and this has really brought to my attention on an even deeper level the importance of living life every day embracing the gift of life. My daughter’s  father did live his life to the fullest and he did embrace every day.

I encourage you to do the same and let go of the small stuff because in the end it doesn’t matter. Make your mark while you are here on earth: Choose! Explore! Adventure! Live your life to the fullest.

With much love,

Alice

Autumn: A Time to Reflect…

DV1084008  “Autumn is the perfect time to take account of what we’ve done, what we didn’t do, and what we’d like to do next year.” ~Author Unknown

As 2014 is quickly coming to a close, now is a great time to reflect upon the accomplishments that you made this year, and what goals you would like to achieve in 2015.

It’s important to celebrate those triumphs, the victories that were fulfilled. Staying mindful of the goals that you did meet in 2014 is of great value, as your subconscious mind is quick to try and fill your thoughts with the negative chatter of what did not get accomplished, rather than what you did see to fruition.

This is your time to celebrate the steps forward you have made on your journey this year. It’s essential to your well-being to stay in a state of gratitude for all the blessings that you received.

After you have given yourself much deserved accolades for your successes in your life this year, you will want to meditate on what your goals are for 2015, and place your intention on manifesting your desires.

What goals did you meet in 2014? What goals do you want to achieve in 2015? It’s truly a mindset, and once you choose to move forward to fulfilling your goals, staying focused on them, as Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen.”

I also genuinely believe that “When you follow your bliss, doors will open where you would not have thought there would be doors, and where there wouldn’t be a door for anyone else.” A marvelous truth by Joseph Campbell.

Celebrate you, celebrate your achievements, celebrate the season, and celebrate the upcoming new year.

With much love,

Alice

Centered in Love…

photo-834  Centered in love is living from the heart space of gratitude. The more gratitude you express, the more miracles you attract into your life. You are deliberately making the choice to focus on abundance and that is what you will receive.

I encourage you to set your intention on looking for the beauty that is all around you. Be grateful and center your thoughts on appreciating life and all the opportunities that you have to embrace each moment in the day.

With much love,

Alice

Kids Keep it Simple…

photo  Wow, what a great way to embrace life. It’s so simple yet very true. If you don’t like the way you are feeling, pick another color. I absolutely love this. It’s a gentle reminder that you are always in control of how you feel and at any time you can make the choice to change the way you feel.

The colors that bring joy into my world are pastel colors because they are soft, soothing and calm. I do however like bright pink, blue, yellow and purple. When I see these colors I think of happiness, joy, and sunshine. This feeling comes over me as though I’m receiving a great big hug that resonates to the core of my being.

Maybe the next time you’re feeling blue you will paint yourself a different color as you  make the choice to shift away from feeling “blue.”

What color will that be for you? Which colors welcome happiness into your world?

Wishing you a day filled with all the colors that bring you peace, joy and happiness.

With much love,

Alice

Value = Perception…

“If you put a small value on yourself, rest assured that the world will not raise your price.” ~Author Unknown

When I read this quote, my thoughts went back to the way I use to think about myself. The way your perceive yourself is how you value who you are and this reflects how you treat yourself and how you allow others to treat you.

I share on my home page that for a really long time I did not place a lot of value on who I am. It was more important for me to be liked than respected. When I was alone I felt empty inside and very sad.

A great amount of my sadness came from trying to find happiness everywhere but from within. It comes from within and that’s because we are equipped with everything we need to morph into anything we desire.

Since my spiritual awakening, I value who I am. You and I have been created in God’s image; this is our endowment. I claimed possession of the priceless legacy that has been given to each one of us. I love the shift that has been made in my life. I connected to the specialness of who I am and it has completely changed the way I perceive who I am.

What value to do you place on yourself? How do you see yourself? I would like to encourage you to see yourself as a piece of your creator, because you are, and honor the gift of life that you have been given. If you live from this place, that’s awesome! If you’re on the path to making this connection, I hope you will choose to hook up to the most powerful network of all; love.

May you always be the respected guest of your life, loving first yourself, and then sharing the overflowing abundance of love to others. You are a living declaration of truth and this will guide other souls to elevate the value/perception of who they are.

With much love,

Alice

From My Heart To Yours…

Kindness…

photo-811    The definition of kindness is the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate. Kindness is the simplest way in which we can show love one to another, and the generosity of one’s thoughtfulness is felt from the heart to the soul.

Kindness is a beautiful gift that we can share with each other and it doesn’t have to cost a penny. There are many ways we can spread love, happiness, and joy. It can be as simple as opening a door for someone, smiling at another person, offering to help carry groceries to the car for them.

My in-laws have such thoughtful neighbors. Many mornings the neighbors take their paper and put it on the front porch for them, and sometimes they leave candy with the paper.

How can you and I be of service to others? First we must take time to look around and tune into what’s going on right where we are.

My challenge to you this week is to share at least one random act of kindness each day, that’s seven opportunities to spread love this week. Write to me sharing what acts of kindness you spread into this world. Next week I will write a post sharing all the beautiful gifts of love that touched the heart and soul of many people. Every act of generosity is a blessing, a gift not only to the one you’ve reached out to, but also you’re heart is filled with an overflowing abundance of joy.

I accept this challenge as well. Together we can make a difference in the lives of many people. It begins with you and with me.

With much love,

Alice
