Rumi, One of My Favorite Poets

Born in Persia on September 30, 1207, Rumi was a 13th century muslim poet, theologian and sufi mystic.  His spiritual legacy has continued to touch the hearts of many people over the last seven centuries.

Rumi is honored as one whose works have gone beyond the boundaries of cultural differences worldwide.  In 2007 Rumi was portrayed as the most popular poet in America.  His exemplification of his life was awe inspiring.  His message was to live in peace and harmony with one another enlightened in love.  Rumi’s knowledge has connected with the human heart.

The inscription on Rumi’s gravestone reads:  “When we are dead, seek not our tomb in the earth, but find it in the hearts of men.”

May we see the soul of one another and live in pure love, as Rumi lived his life.

Here is one of my favorite quotes by the beloved Rumi…

Cherish Life

photo(353)

I have this plaque in my house and when I looked at it this morning, I recalled the time I had purchased two of these and gave one to my very dear friend Jodi.  Last year my friend transitioned into a new life where she is now an angel in heaven.

“I have seen and met angels wearing the disguise of ordinary people living ordinary lives.”  This quote by Tracy Chapman describes Jodi perfectly.  I became emotional as I thought about the words on this plaque… Cherish Life.  The love she shared was straight from her heart right into yours.  She did cherish life and she found joy in all things.

To cherish is to hold “something” dear.  What do you hold dear to you?  I encourage you to focus on what brings joy into your world and take a moment to lift up a prayer of thanksgiving for it.

Robert Brault said:  “Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you’ll look back and realize they were big things.”

May you live your life in the here and now, being in the present moment, holding dear to your heart all the beautiful gifts, blessings that are in your life.

With much love,

Alice

Normal? Not Me!

On my quest through life what I’ve discovered is that normal is the last thing I desire to be.  When I hear the word normal I just think of it as a setting on the dryer, that’s all.

The definition of normal is:  Conforming to a standard; usual, typical, or expected; average, or typical state or condition.  Who wants that?  Not me.

It’s my belief that we should let go of the idea that you have to be normal, ordinary, and give yourself permission to be extraordinary.  It’s in this moment when you genuinely love yourself and you are aware of how precious YOU are; as this is the inheritance given to you at birth.  I believe this is where you tune into the special-ness of who you are… and you are extraordinary.

As you shift from ordinary to extraordinary you will find your life overflows with great abundance in every area because you have teamed up with your creator and have embraced the legacy that is yours.  When you are linked together with God, you have progressed from the realm of ordinary to the realm of extraordinary as this is where all things become possible.

I encourage you to take possession of your gift and live YOUR extraordinary life.

Dreams Do Come True

Last week my husband and I had the pleasure of witnessing the 100th Tour de France as the cyclists went through the city of Laval, France.  It was a dream come true!  For many years I watched the Tour de France on television and would imagine what it would feel like to see it in person.  Being there was everything I had dreamed of and more!

My husband took the pictures because I could not stop tearing up as my heart was filled with an abundance of gratitude. I was definitely living in the moment.  Here are a few pictures of that awesome day…

These were the five cyclists that were in the lead.

The support team carried the extra bicycles.

It was amazing how fast the cyclists sped by.

A lot of people were there to share in this experience and to show support for the cyclists.

I BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF DREAMS…

Aligned with God

photo(267)

When my husband and I travel we always use the Google map for the reason that their map provides a blinking blue dot along with a blue line to follow.  As long as we stay on the blue line we arrive just as planned with ease and grace.  Only when we take a wrong turn that leads us away from the blue line do we have to make an adjustment to get us back on track.

In thinking about the blue line on the map, I thought this was an excellent analogy of how to stay aligned with God.  As you move ahead on your journey in accordance with the blue line you feel at peace because you are in harmony with your source.  Life flows with a gentle ease and grace.

When you are tuned into how you are feeling this is the best indicator to let you know if you are staying on the blue line.  When you feel anything less than at peace from within, you have shifted to a place of resistance, which moves you in another direction.

At the very moment that you feel something has changed, you must make a switch right away to move back into the place of like-mindedness of God as you continue traveling through life on the blue line.

I encourage you to continually be tuned into how you feel.  Creating a shift that places you back in harmony with your source allows you to move forward  with genuine peace from within.

With much love,

Alice

Neville Goddard- Still Touching Hearts Today

Spiritual Master Neville Goddard devoted the majority of his life to the study of spiritual and mystical matters.  Mr. Goddard is one of the many spiritual teachers that have greatly influenced my life.  I am thankful that Mr. Goddard followed his heart and his passion because we all can learn from him.

“Learn how to use your imaginal power, lovingly, on behalf of others, for man is moving into a world where everything is subject to his imaginal power.”  Neville Goddard spoke these words in the 1950’s and 1960’s.  He understood the fundamental truths in living a purpose filled life.

In learning about Neville Goddard, I came across this quote of his and I immediately placed this truth into my belief system and live from this place.

“Disregard appearances, conditions, in fact all evidence of your senses that deny you the fulfillment of your desire.  Rest in the assumption that you are already what you want to be, for in that determined assumption you and your infinite being (God), all things are possible.  God never fails.”

When you read my latest book, Finding Inner Peace, the Key to True Happiness, I share in detail how once I applied this belief into my life, changes occurred very fast and the vision that I was holding onto came to fruition in an extremely short amount of time.

Your thoughts and desires are placed into your imagination.  Think of it as an embryo.  It’s extremely small in the beginning.  However, you continue to think on this thought, imagine it being real right now, today, as you are growing this thought into manifestation.  It doesn’t matter what outside circumstances may look like, you must keep on “feeling” and “believing” that your thought, your embryo is growing, and before you know it, it’s born!  It is now right in front of you and it is real.  For me, this is the true meaning of “faith that passes all understanding.

It’s also very important to guard your thoughts, keeping them safe.  The relationship you have is between you and your source, God.

“Imagine that you are seeing what you want to see, and remain faithful to your vision.”  Neville Goddard

There may be times when you feel like nothing is happening and this might challenge you a bit, but please “keep the faith” and hold onto your desire very tightly, trusting always that just because you cannot see something happening, that does not mean it isn’t there.

I learned that “Patience is also a form of action.”  A great quote from Auguste Rodin.

The Neville Goddard Book Club has a Face Book page that I am sharing with you as I enjoy reading his encouraging words every day and I believe you will too.

Thank you, Neville Goddard for giving us the tools to connect to and live from our highest self.

With much love,

Alice

I am a Euro Newbie…

Bonjour,

photo(304)

Bagnoles de l’Orne, France

I would like to invite you to follow along on our Euro Newbies blog site as my husband and I share our adventures and discoveries while living in France.  This month will be our eight month anniversary of living in Europe.

We have learned SO many things and we continue to learn every day.  One of the many things we learned was what the French do with their toilet paper rolls…so now we do the same thing!

We absolutely love it here and are truly blessed to be able to live our dream along with our passion of writing.  My husband writes science fiction novels and it has been such a gift to watch his life long dream being fulfilled.

This picture was taken on the day that we received our residence card making it legal for us to live here.  It was a glorious day!

photo(303)

I genuinely believe that each one of us can live our passion and our dream.  Several years ago I bought this paper weight because I loved the quote on it.  I kept it on my desk and believed that one day I would live my dream… I am thankful for the abundance of blessings in my life.

“Don’t DREAM your life, LIVE your Dream”

Dream it, Do it, Live it…
