Blossom into Wholeheartedness

photo-7   Are you ready to blossom this Spring into wholeheartedness? Here’s how to do it. Start by being vulnerable. When I use the word vulnerable I am not referring to weakness, on the contrary. Vulnerability is the practice of courage, strength and “showing up” in all situations.

Right before I experienced my spiritual transformation, everything around me was falling apart and I felt extremely vulnerable, and in this reference, I felt very weak. It seemed as though everything I tried to do fell apart right in front of me. I felt as though I was backed into a corner, and I had no where else to go. I fell down to my knees and sobbed uncontrollably.

It was at that very moment that I let go of trying to be in charge of all things in my life. I truly released all feelings of the need to be “perfect,” of portraying someone that I was not. I just wanted to be ME, and to love who I am, just as I was right there in the corner of the room surrendering my false self to the divine.

I knew deep down that I was still around for a reason, and I also felt that this experience had to happen in order for me to begin living wholeheartedly. I just wasn’t prepared for all the pain that was associated with “letting go.” It felt as though the transformation occurred instantaneously. It was in that moment that I had birthed authenticity into my life.

In my book Finding Inner Peace- The Key to True Happiness, I describe this experience to be much like childbirth. For me anyway, as excited as I was for my daughter to enter into this world, there was a part of me that did not look forward to the process that must occur to make way for her arrival. “Birthing” is a painful process, but the instant you are greeted with the miracle that has just taken place, you no longer dwell on the pain of the birth. You marvel at the joy the birth has brought into your life.

What I’ve come to know is that vulnerability is the birthing place of absolutely everything we want in our life; love, joy, belonging, peace and empathy. I connected to each one of these through my spiritual transformation. Spiritually, I plugged into who I am and I understood for the very first time that these cannot be found externally, they are found from within. When you connect to the specialness of who you are, you can give love, joy, belonging, peace and empathy to others because you first feel them within you, because that’s who you are.

If you genuinely desire wholeheartedness in your life, vulnerability is the birthplace of everything your authentic self longs for. Every day make the choice to show up, to be filled with courage and live your life wholeheartedly.

May you live your life as Dr. Brene Brown says, “Daring Greatly.”

With much love,

Alice

Love the Journey…

photo-5

On your journey through life there will be some highs and lows along the way. Trust with a great faith when you are experiencing a low time on your pilgrimage. Ask yourself, “What is waiting for me here at this moment? What is the miracle I am suppose to find?”

Get back into thinking from the heart and not your head. Move into the space of the heart of a child, with a child-like faith. When you shift to this place, then you feel once again that everyday is wonder-full. Keep the wonderment of the child and love the journey.

This mindset will serve you well. Whether you are traveling through a high or low right now on your journey, stay in the heart space, like that of a child. Embrace the experience and always thank the universe for the gift of being alive, the gift to grow closer to the divine, to live from your highest self.

With much love,

Alice

I took this picture from the window of the plane as the sun was rising on the morning Gary and I landed back into Paris, France. The sunrise was very beautiful and inspiring to me.

May we remain mindful to welcome each day with our hearts open, and let’s elevate the vibration of love as we make a difference in the world. It begins with you and me!

What will you do today that impacts your life and the life of others in a positive way? I’d love to hear from you…

With much love,

Alice

My in-laws celebrating 61 years of marriage…

On February 14th my in-laws celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary! We celebrated this special occasion by having family come over to their home. It was a wonderful time, and so very special for everyone! Since Gary and I were still in Texas,  we were able to be a part of a truly lovely party…

Getting ready to cut the cake!

The smiles you see on their faces are genuine. They are the most loving people, and I am truly grateful to be a part of this beautiful family.

Yes, they still kiss after all these years…

This picture was a must have. Jim and Patsy Hocker are a true inspiration to the meaning of LOVE.
