Why I Love Butterflies

I have always admired and loved the butterfly.  I believe a large part of the feeling I embrace when I see a butterfly is how very free they are.  The butterfly doesn’t seem to stay in one particular place for long.  The butterfly appears to know what they are looking for and leaves the impression that they always find it.  It’s as though the butterfly knows their purpose and they live it.  I love the phrase, “Butterflies are free.”

It’s my belief that this is what we long for; to feel free and be free.  The butterfly offers us hope that maybe we too can be free.  It’s been my experience that freedom comes and goes in and out of our lives until we make the conscious decision to shift the way we think and feel, to a place from within where anything that prohibits the flow of freedom on a continual basis must go.

A shift, a change of feeling, will bring with certainty a change in your future.  This is the first step to transforming your destiny.  What I’ve learned is that turning inward is where you develop emotional awareness.  This is the place where you connect with your soul, to God and nothing (no thing) can come between you and your source.  It’s not in searching externally for peace that passes all understanding; it’s in searching from within you.

“While delighting in the beauty of the butterfly, do we remember the journey it went through to get there?”  I wrote this quote one day after spending time watching several butterflies fluttering about in my backyard.  Then I remembered a Proverb quote that said, “Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly.”

Each one of us has the opportunity to “morph” into a person whose life is lived with genuine peace and happiness from the inside out.  This is the place where everlasting freedom flows.

With much love, Alice

For Today “Just Be”

Be content, be grateful, be loving, be in the present moment.  Feel how this mindset in your day shifts your thoughts and actions to feeling alive and take pleasure in the moments that create this day.

When you are aware and in tune with the little things that we often times overlook because we find that we are too busy to see them, let alone acknowledge them, everything seems to be a little sweeter.

Living with a, “let it be” awareness will change your life.  Once I became attentive to living every day with this shift in my attitude, I found that life became more of an ebb and flow for me rather than the highs and lows that I had been accustomed to.  I believe this is the true meaning of, “let go- let God.”

It felt so good and I began to notice something amazing.  This sensation began to alter the way I looked.  I stood straighter, I smiled more and overall I had more energy.  Each step I took felt wonderful and I enjoyed being in the moment which left me wanting more moments just like the previous ones.  It’s how I live each day and it feels great!

I would like to encourage you to embrace one day to “Just Be.”  I believe the reason it affects all aspects of our life is because we are living in harmony with our true selves, connected to God.  We are in a state of allowing, welcoming the beauty in what we see, grateful to be alive on this day as we are walking in tranquility with our source and not in resistance.  Oh, what a difference a day can make.
